03Interview

Describe your style in three words?

Minimalistic, oversized and classic.

The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?

Dire Straits - Walk Of Life

When I was a kid, my dad had the video on tape and I became obsessed with the song / video. I would come home from nursery and bounce around the room to it... A song that holds great memories with my Dad growing up.

A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?

Ben Howard - Black Flies

I listen to Ben Howard most mornings - he's one of my favourite artists, incredible live and just the type of music I want to hear first thing. Ben Howard or London Grammar in the AM until I have fully woken up.

A song from your most memorable gig?

The Verve - Bitter Sweet Symphony

One of the best times I have ever listened to this song will be Ashcroft belting it out in the pouring down rain at V festival in 2008. Listening to it takes me right back to that moment and still gives me goosebumps.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Jocelyn Brown - Somebody Else's Guy - Original

This is one of my all time favourite songs. Although not a big a dancer, more of a shuffler... I absolutely would get up for this song.

A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?

Palace - Live Well

Just recently got into this band and the words in this particular track resonate with me. Tame Impala's new album 'The Slow Rush' is also on repeat at the moment.

Best song to turn up loud? And why?

George Michael - Fastlove, Pt. 1

George Michael will always be in a playlist for me - an unbelievable talent. This track can lift my mood no matter what and is a firm favourite within my family.

A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?

Serani - No Games

Travelling around Australia when I was younger, this song holds some very fond partying memories and reminds me of a care-free time in my life.

An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?

Everything But The Girl - Missing - Todd Terry Club Mix / US Radio Edit

Could listen to this song, all day, everyday. I am yet to find a person who doesn't enjoy this track.

Best song to end an all-nighter?

Disclosure - Help Me Lose My Mind

Ft London Grammar. Always loved this track, would go to bed happy if this was the last song of the night.
