What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Battles, Munich, 2011.

If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
Slint and Tortoise. Both are foundational icons of post-rock and have influenced the genre in many ways.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Skateboarding probably influenced me the most. I started at a young age with my friends in a small town in Bavaria. We were outside all the time, travelling and searching for new spots to film. Always loved the huge amount of creativity and freedom involved.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
I'd love to spend time with Daphne Oram. She was a pioneer in producing electronic music and is truly inspiring when it comes to composing and creating sounds through unique techniques.

Of all the independent venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
Favorit Bar in Munich. Definitely my favourite bar in town. A very special place with the best owners and friends plus a great booking of local experimental DJs.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Danny Carey, drummer of the band TOOL. His style, odd time signatures and complex polyrhythms have always fascinated me.
