A Weird Milk Photo
Weird Milk and we're from the deep country of Buckinghamshire.
Whatever is there.
The Lemon Twigs at The Old Blue Last. There were four bands on that night and they were in the middle of the bill. No one expected very much as they were completely new and unheard of. They opened with 'These Words' and the harmonies in the chorus were SO tight and strong it blew me (Charlie) and Alex (Grifbo) away. We rehearsed much harder the next day.
The Band and Bob Dylan - can that count as one? And Sly and the Family stone 'cause they oozed cool.
Them beatniks for pushing a new train of thought down the tracks of time.
Nina Simone, a truly great voice and mind. I don't know if she'd want to spend an hour with me.
So many favourites. Favourite place was Glasgow because everyone is so friendly. A specific venue would be Scala, just because we could play louder than we ever have and really let loose.
The High Llamas. Best band.
Weird Milk recently released their new track 'Vienna'. Listen, purchase or stream it via linktr.ee/WeirdMilkMusic.
Following on from a number of festival dates, Weird Milk will be heading out on a UK headline tour this November. Further details and tickets are available at linktr.ee/WeirdMilkMusic.
'Another Number' by The Cribs.
'Revolution' by The Beatles.
'Pet Sounds' by Beach Boys.
"And she feeds you tea and oranges that come all the way from china"
From 'Suzanne' by Leonard Cohen. The most regal and earthing words.
'I'm Still In Love With You' by Marcia Aitken.
'My Smile Is Just A Frown' by Caroline Crawford but written by Smokey Robinson.
'Rebel Rebel' by David Bowie.
'The King of Rock 'N' Roll' by Prefab Sprout - I am not sorry.
'Blue Moon' by Elvis Presley... specifically for a bus ride home alone. If I'm still with friends: 'One Of These Nights' by Eagles.
'Tall Buildings' by Matt Maltese.
'Sick & Tired' by Lime Garden.
'Spoiler' by Baloji.
'Clingfilm' by PACKS.
