The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
The Beatles - It Won't Be Long - Remastered 2009
My dad would play The Beatles on his guitar since I was a little girl and I remember hearing this song and absolutely loving it! I uploaded all The Beatles albums to my iPod nano and this track I would play every night when I got in from school till I went to sleep.
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
Arctic Monkeys - Cornerstone
This is my favourite track from this album because for me it always comes down to the lyrics. He is telling you a story in first person and you can feel each emotion he is feeling, from heartache in the first two verses to things turning up in the last two.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Miles Kane - Colour Of The Trap
Was the 2nd time I had seen Miles Kane live, I was 14, it was in the Glasgow Barrowlands. He sang it as one of his last tunes and it felt like he was singing it just to me. I think it is one of the reasons I still love Miles Kane to this day.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
S Club 7 - Reach
When this song comes on, no matter where I am I immediately start dancing and singing along to it. I can't help myself.
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
Cara Rose - Learn to Speak
I've been a fan of this artist for a good while now but this is her first and only release. She is part of the Glasgow music scene, her voice and lyrics are incredible! I cannot wait for more tunes.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
Erasure - A Little Respect - 2009 Remastered Version
Reminds me of being at T in the Park 2014. It was played everywhere while waiting for the artists to come on stage and everyone was just dancing and enjoying the atmosphere.
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
The Smiths - Ask - 2011 Remaster
The lyrics in this song are something that has stuck with me since being a teenager. The very first verse is what I used for my yearbook quote in school as I think it sums up the teenage me pretty well.
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
The Killers - Mr. Brightside
No matter what age you are everyone knows the words to Mr Brightside! It's a classic sing-a-long song.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Gerry & The Pacemakers - You'll Never Walk Alone
This song has always been played last at my family parties and rightfully so! It brings everyone together.
