Shania Twain - Man! I Feel Like A Woman!

I begged and begged for this album as a six-year-old, my parents let in and I would scream the songs all the way to school and back, then was gifted a karaoke version of the track 'Man, I Feel Like A Woman', which I'm sure sounded hilarious coming out of little six-year-old me.

A song from your favorite album?

Amy Winehouse - Half Time

Amy's 'Lioness' album has had me in a chokehold for a good ten years now, I think I'd have to list half time as one of my favourite songs ever, Amy's muted jazzy tones got me through my crappy teen years, and continue to blow away to cobwebs whenever it feels necessary.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Red Hot Chili Peppers - Snow (Hey Oh)

Leeds fest 2016 - my first ever festival, I was sixteen and managed to score RHCP as my first proper headlining act. I can hands down say this will always be one of the best gigs I will ever attend, commemorated with my first ever dark fruits too.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Candi Staton - Young Hearts Run Free

My love for any kind of disco was ignited at uni - my best friend Madeleine introduced me to some of the coolest music and for that ill always be grateful. This time of my life really shaped my music taste, disco has the power to turn a frown upside down.

A new song you're listening to?

ESG - You Make No Sense

I admittedly only just discovered ESG and they're quickly becoming the soundtrack of my early 20s. You can't beat a car karaoke shout-a-long to some vintage man trouble.

Best song to turn up loud?

Ray Charles - I Believe to My Soul

I actually shazamed this song in a random bar on a hinge date, safe to say this is the only good thing that came from that night.

A song that defines the teenage you?

Catfish and the Bottlemen - Cocoon

I was Catfish obsessed as a teen, I'd wear my concert band merch on every school non-uniform day. I think this is one of the few albums I could sing back to front, upside down. The opening chords never fail to start a solid deja vu right back to that time in my life.

An anthemic song?

Paolo Nutini - Troubled so Hard (Natural Blues) - Live at Isle of Wight Festival; EP Version

I think my friends might describe this as the most Rae song ever, certainly my anthem. Paulo Nutini is undeniably my favourite artist of all time, and my Spotify yearly roundup confirms it annually. I can guarantee if someone gives me the aux, this will be played.

Best song to end an all-nighter?
