What are your names?
We are Jack Shaw, Max Asquith, Brad Cartwright and Jud Watkin.
Where are you from?
Sheffield. We’re from a small ex-mining village on the outskirts called Goldthorpe.
Describe your style in three words?
Bold, Retro, British.
If you could make a record with anyone from history?
The Rolling Stones - To capture the entire energy and vibe of a song into a recording is a dying art. And those boys did it well.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
We all went to The Stone Roses reunion gig at Etihad Stadium, we were almost front row. The atmosphere alone made the gig one to remember, we’ve all grown up with their tunes, and to hear them for the first time live was unreal.
Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
Le Pop In - Paris, Gotta be one of the most unreal gigs we’ve done! The French know how to party!
What British music icons inspire your sound today?
The Clash - We’re quite versatile like The Clash, but with solid roots.
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Thatcher - I’d take her for a walk around our dead village, roll up roll up, see what's left.
Which subcultures have had an enduring effect on you?
We love the Mods & Skinheads. We were all born about 30/40 years too late.
If you could share the bill with any band in history?
Oasis - We got offered to support them at Knebworth believe it or not but we were all too busy not being alive.
What music did you listen to growing up?
We all grew up listening to such a range of styles you wouldn’t even believe, Busted and McFly were at their peak when we were growing up but f*** that, we listened to The Jam, Arctic Monkeys and The Specials.

Any new bands you are listening to right now?
Yeah, some cracking new bands around these days, not enough good ones though, we’re into The Riff from Swansea and Vida from Alloa. A band’s got to have a set of personalities behind it, and those bands are both cracking sets of people.
