Name, where are you from?
Astro Bunny, Nu (DJ) and ChaCha (Vocal) from Taiwan and New Zealand.
What do you do?
We are an electronic duo, currently recording our 6th album.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
The Chemical Brothers live in Taipei back in 2011.
Which subcultures have influenced you?
We dig everything from drum and bass, grunge, emo-punk, chill trap, to bass music. Deep down we also enjoy Japanese visual rock bands like X JAPAN, LUNA SEA and Dir En Grey.
Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
Definitely Syntrend in Taipei, a performance venue packed with tech and awesome sound design elements. It’s a perfect place to enjoy a concert if you are into techy effects, exaggerated visuals, and exciting sounds.
If you could be on the line up with any bands in history?
Probably Nine Inch Nails or Maroon 5. Lol!
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Steve Jobs for sure. He is one of the guys who progressed the history of modern human technology and behaviours.
Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Skrillex. Can’t live without his beat and drops.
The first track you played on repeat?
'Obey (with YUNGBLUD)' by Bring Me The Horizon. A British rock band. Oh boy, you’re gonna love this one.
A song that defines the teenage you?
'Firestarter' by The Prodigy. Emo and hardcore was our thing during our teenage days. This song totally nails the mood.
One record you would keep forever?
'The Dark Side of the Moon' by Pink Floyd. This is one of the best albums ever recorded.
A song lyric that has inspired you?
'Young Dumb & Broke' by Khalid. Listening to this in the year 2020 evokes a lot of emotions.
Best song to turn up loud?
'Loneliness, Sadness, and a Thank you' by Astro Bunny. Yap, this one deserves some volume.
A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?
'Intentions' by Justin Bieber. I just love the beat and the simplicity in the sound mix.
New bands you are listening to now?
Tycho, who is not exactly a band, but his music is delicate, great for road trips.
