My name is Sol and I’m from Chelmsford, Essex.
Relaxed, Street and Me.
The best gig I’ve been to was to see some Smiths tribute band. It was good cos I got really pissed and the bloke playing Morrissey got on the piano to sing 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out' which was quite amusing but also good.
I’d like to be on the same line up as The Chats cos I think they’ve got a good energy about them and I’d like to be on the same line up as Joy Division cos I’d like to see them live.
Punk, Grime and Skinhead.
I’d spend an hour with Dizzee Rascal to chat about music and the early grime days.
My favourite venue I’ve played is probably The Three Wise Monkeys in Colchester because the vibe was great and it was a very intimate show because the stage is low and close to the audience.
Kurt Cobain because Nirvana is the band that got me to pick up the guitar and start playing, leading me to start writing my own tunes eventually.
'My Name Is' by Eminem.
'Longview' by Green Day.
My Dad's original pressing of the first Smiths album.
“Flying saucers turn cocaine” in 'Drug Dealer' by Slowthai.
'Bassline Junkie' by Dizzee Rascal.
'Dry Your Eyes' by The Streets
'Supersonic' by Oasis.
'Give Yourself A Try' by The 1975.
'Has It Come To This' by The Streets.
Bakar is cool.
