A Danny Lomas Photo
Name, where are you from?
I'm Danny Lomas, from Driffield, East Yorkshire.
What do you do?
I'm a presenter for the online streetwear show PAQ, a roadie for my friend's band 'Vague' and work in the Fred Perry York store.
Describe your style in three words:
Old-school cool.
Most meaningful lyrics to inspire change?
I have no idea at all!
Is there a song you like others wouldn't expect?
I honestly like a bit of everything, there's not much I don't like to be fair.
British icon or band who inspired you?
No idea, I do love Steve Jones of the Sex Pistols though, everything he does makes me laugh.
First song you played on repeat?
'Take A Look Around' by Limp Bizkit.
Song that defines the teenage you?
The music to define teenage me would be old school hip hop, spending long summer nights at the skate park listening to stuff like Wu Tang, B.G. Knocc Out and Snoop Dogg from this bloody huge boom box that a lad would bring down on his BMX, funny as hell to watch.
A song from your favourite album?
'That's Where You're Wrong' on Suck It and See by the Arctic Monkeys.
A Song you wish you'd written?
Honestly, no idea, probably 'Layla' by Derek and the Dominos, one of the greatest riffs/songs ever.
What is the last piece of music you bought?
The last piece of music I bought was 'The Ventures Play Telstar And The Lonely Bull' by The Ventures, definitely an essential to have in the car.
Best song to bring people together?
Either 'Don't Look Back In Anger' by Oasis or 'Purple Rain' by Prince.
All time favourite gig?
The Prodigy at Bridlington Spa in 2015, hands down.
Best love song of all time?
Can't think on the spot so I'll just say 'It Must Be Love' by Madness.
What new music are you listening to?
Errrr that's a toughie. I find the more I get older, the older my music taste gets, so recently got more into Del Shannon after having 'Runaway' on my playlist for ages.
