Casual, minimal, sustainable.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
So many to choose from - recently, it would be Caribou at Brixton Academy, maybe John Talabot - Saturday Night at Dekmantel. We actually just got back from Ibiza - Joy O & Overmono killed their set at Dalt Villa, the sun was setting and it was a beauty. It’s usually about that perfect moment; the right people, the right song - everything coming together at once.

If you could be on the line up with any two artists in history?
Talking Heads and The Chemical Brothers. It’s really hard to put into words how powerful David Byrne is as a creative force and influence on us. The film of the Talking Heads live show, 'Stop Making Sense' is genius. The Chemical Brothers live show is also just so intense and iconic, it’s a great advert for electronic music and we love the out-and-out euphoria that it represents.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Somewhere between '90s rave culture, ambient, '70s psychedelia and environmentalism is where our tastes and outlooks lie. The sense of freedom attached to '90s rave culture is hugely inspiring to us. More musically speaking, the ambient movement led by Brian Eno really offered up a new definition as to what music can be and the purpose it can play - that’s important to us and really informs where music exists in our lives.

If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
George Harrison. The way he carried his spirituality and varied, multi-cultural influences into his music is something that we keep coming back to. What he achieved by the time he was thirty is insane and we’d love to get his perspective on modern life.

Of all the venues you’ve been to or played, which is your favourite?
O2 Academy Brixton. We basically grew up there, going to shows every other week - it has always been on our bucket list to play and you can’t get away from how iconic it is.

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Marta Salogni. As a producer, Marta’s influence on the direction of diverse, alternative music at the moment is massive. We’ve followed her work for a while now and she’s had a hand in so many game-changing records.
