Describe your style in three words?
Current. Colourful. Relaxed.
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
I See MONSTAS - Circles
I first heard it at work, and absolutely loved it! This is my walking to and from work song, my morning routine song, my baking song, my night out song... I just love it!
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
N-Dubz - Ouch
This album reminds me of Summer 2009 and it solidified the friendship between me and my bestie. We used to listen to it in the car and ALWAYS have this song on repeat. Their songs always put a smile on my face and I'm not ashamed to say that I know all the words to this song.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Bastille - Glory
Union Chapel, Islington. The most beautiful venue I have ever been to! It was a re-orchestrated performance with a gospel choir, and all proceeds went to a homeless charity. The acoustics in the church were amazing.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Wankelmut - My Head Is A Jungle - MK Remix / Radio Edit
This song reminds me of my Uni days. When I did my retake, I moved in with some first years who used to go to all night raves this was the one song they would always play. It is definitely my 2014 anthem and brings back such good memories. A floor filler for sure!!
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
Steel Banglez - Your Lovin' (feat. MØ & Yxng Bane)
I really enjoy the mix of the two genders in the song. It starts off with Yxng Bane singing, and then after the chorus MØ does a verse. I think she's got a great singing voice, and the lyrics are pure class!
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
Konshens - Bruk Off Yuh Back
I usually listen to this song when I need cheering up. It puts an instant smile on my face and brings back lots of memories. I am usually listening to this in my bedroom getting ready for a night out and then again on a night out! The beat is a good song to dance to!
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
Fall Out Boy - Sugar, We're Goin Down
This reminds me of being 15 and sat at the skate park with all my friends. We would go to the shop, get snacks and sit down in the sun and watch the boys skate. When it quietened down, us girls would have a go at skating. I was dreadful at it!
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
The Cinematic Orchestra - To Build A Home
I would love the opportunity to hear this performed live as I find it an extremely emotional song. It has featured in a number of TV shows and adverts so it must be popular. The build up towards the end and Watson's vocal performance makes this song so powerful.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
The Killers - Mr. Brightside
This song is the perfect song to end a night out. It is a song that all British people love, and it always brings a room of strangers together. This wouldn't be my first choice of song to listen to, but when it comes on in the club, I can't help but sing and dance!
