We are in a band - musicians.

Sharp, new wave, proto-punk.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to and why?
George Clinton – because he played for 3 hours and never stopped and is 70 years old.
What British music icons inspire your sound today?
Paul Weller, Elvis Costello, Pete Townsend.
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Groucho Marx.
Which British subculture means the most to you?
Mods & rude boys, we were heavily influenced when we first started out, the style of music & clothing helped form the basis of the band.
If you could share the bill with any British band in history?
Elvis Costello & The Attractions.
What music did you listen to growing up?
A lot of guitar bands.
The Strypes burst onto the scene in 2012 with their debut EP 'Young, Gifted & Blue' whilst they were still all aged between 14-16. Their debut album 'Snapshot' was a hit in 2013 too, which earned them a string of high-profile fans like Jeff Beck, Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher and Roger Daltrey. All of whom loved their raw energy and passion and old school British RnB style.
They have since got a little older and developed their sound, their third album 'Spitting Image' which is released 16th June 2017, has transcended their roots and displays a variety of influences such as garage, new wave & indie.
