Describe your style in three words?
Questionable, honest, relaxed.
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
Limp Bizkit - Rollin' (Air Raid Vehicle)
I remember every time my dad left us in his car my brother and I would put on this album and blast 'Rollin’' out loud. Appropriate music for a 12 and 8 year old.
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
The Killers - Glamorous Indie Rock & Roll
Probably my favourite album of all time purely for nostalgic reasons. 'Glamorous Indie Rock and Roll' was a bonus track on the UK version and is everything I love about The Killers.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Biffy Clyro - Machines - MTV Unplugged Live at Roundhouse, London
Biffy played an MTV unplugged gig at the roundhouse in Camden. I’d heard it a good few times lives but there was something about the striped back intimate setting that just made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. 'Mon the Biff!
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
The Fratellis - Chelsea Dagger
You know the song as soon as it starts. It’s got a beat you can bust some awful moves to or clap along if you’re not a dancer.
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
Panic Shack - Who's Got My Lighter?
The intro reminds me a little of Scott Pilgrim Vs the World and the vocals are ace. I saw someone post this to their Instagram and it instantly loved it.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
Jamie T - Sheila
Such a good track and the louder the better. Everyone screams out ‘LONDON’ which just adds another layer to it.
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
Green Day - Boulevard of Broken Dreams
This song reminds me of being young, drinking some vodka in the woods and playing this out loud. Everyone knew the words and was singing along, good times!
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
Kings of Leon - Sex on Fire
I remember wondering around a festival (possibly v-fest?) and hearing everyone belting this out load, it was such a hit (but by no means their best work). Ironically, the band weren’t even playing the festival.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
John Travolta - The Grease Mega-Mix - From "Grease"
For a period of time back around the mid noughties when we were all turning 18 this was always the last song played on an all nighter. We continue to pay homage to this!
