Where are you from?
Stoke-on-Trent & Liverpool.
What do you do?
Music/Annoy the neighbours.
Describe your style in three words?
Simple Mostly Black.
If you could make a record with anyone from history?
John Baker, he was a pioneer and a genius in the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. I remember hearing the ‘John Baker Tapes’ back in 2009 and was mind blown at what he was creating at that time, most of it became TV and news jingles, which could be a pretty interesting collaboration angle.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Meshuggah at the Roundhouse, an assault on all of the senses.
What British music icons inspire your sound today?
Paul McCartney, I’ve not always been a McCartney and Beatles fan, I was always more into groups like The Beach Boys, but in the past year I’ve been on a McCartney binge and he’s just simply the best.
If you could share the bill with any British band in history?
Queen, if I’m going to be upstaged I want it to be by the best.
What music did you listen to growing up?
Pop-punk, or basically anything overly emotional and American.
Dan Croll returns with his highly anticipated new album ‘Emerging Adulthood’ released via Communion Records on 21st July 2017. It is the follow-up to his critically lauded 2014 debut album 'Sweet Disarray'. Find out more at www.dancroll.com.
What was the first song you played on repeat?
'Heal The World' by Michael Jackson, the ‘Dangerous’ album was the first piece of music I can remember hearing and I can remember being obsessed with this track and constantly hitting repeat.
