Baggy, chic, pre-loved.
What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?
Chic and Nile Rogers at Kendal Calling 2019. It was the first major festival we ever played, and being able to see a group that we all grew up listening to was momentous to us.
If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
Fela Kuti - the spectacle of him playing live and the meaning behind his performance would be captivating and an honour to be in his presence. Led Zepplin. It’s Led Zepplin.
Which subcultures have influenced you?
The '90s Manchester music scene, the skate scene, late '60s - early '70s psych movement.
If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Karl Pilkington, he’s one of the great minds of this generation.
Of all the venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?
The Deaf Institute, it’s an iconic venue and the atmosphere in there is always unreal.
Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Frank Zappa. He wrote whatever he wanted regardless of public opinion and kept the creative freedom to pursue whatever form of art he chose.
