A Gallus Photo
Gallus, Glasgow.
Barry: We are in a silly wee band and write silly wee songs.
Paul: Drums.
P: An uncool Pixies.
B: Stupid silly good.
P: Probably the first time I saw Green Day when I was 12, had only been to see a couple of bands by that point but they were the first one that made it feel like a massive event, despite it just being a Tuesday night in Glasgow - something I'd hope we strive for also.
B: There’s too many to compete with but I recently saw Fontaines DC at SWG3 in Glasgow and it was the first time in a while I was in total awe of a band. It felt very special especially after a horribly long time without live music.
P: The Cure and Oasis, how f*cking funny would the crowds mingling at that be?
P: To be honest I was mostly influenced by American subcultures like '90s punk and grunge. Nirvana, The Offspring, Green Day, Blink, etc.
P: Myself about 5 years ago, tell myself loads of football scores and to buy some bitcoin and Tesla stock, make a killing.
P: Probably Stereo in Glasgow, it's a great venue to see a band in and I like that it feels longer than most venues of a similar size. I'd seen a few bands in there that I really like before we played there and when we sold it out it felt like a real milestone.
P: William McCarthy who was in Augustines, that band, and their previous band Pela, should've got so much bigger than they did but they are an example of how much bands have been fucked over the last 20 years. Was very sad when they decided to call it a day. He's had a very interesting life though and writes amazing songs.
P: 'Minority' by Green Day.
B: 'Psycho Killer' by Talking Heads.
P: 'Dammit' by Blink 182.
B: 'Vince The Lovable Stoner' by Fratellis.
P: 'Is This It?' by The Strokes.
B: "The same worms that eat me will some day eat you too"
From 'Worms' by Viagra Boys.
P: 'Love You Till The End' by The Pogues.
B: 'Bodys' by Car Seat Headrest.
'Sleep Now In The Fire' by Rage Against The Machine.
P: 'Love Story' by Taylor Swift.
P: 'You Never Can Tell' by Chuck Berry.
P: 'Caledonia'.
Dead Pony, Fabric Bear, Doss, Voodoos, The Vanities.
