Suzanne. Played on an old radiogram as a kid... found the 7inch in a pile of old records. Didn't have a clue what it was but l loved it!

Jimmy Cliff - The Harder They Come - From "The Harder They Come" Soundtrack

It's all about his voice... sends tingles down the spine.

A song from your most memorable gig?

Orbital - Impact (The Earth Is Burning)

1994 I think. A hot Glastonbury... they were the first electronic act to headline and I'd embraced the chemical generation a little too much that weekend. Blew my mind along with thousands of others.

A song that always gets you up and dancing?

Nora Dean - Barbwire

It's all about the rhythm... it's raw rudimentary production just adds a real charm!

I had a pinky phase growing up. Dead Kennedys were a huge influence on me both musically and politically... I heard this almost lounge core version recently and the sassy vocal delivery drew me in!

Easy Star All-Stars - Time (feat. Corey Harris & Ranking Joe)

A classic pink floyd track reworked in a reggae dub style. The production is in a class of it's own and the bass wraps you up like a duvet... it's a musical hug.

UB40 - Food For Thought

I remember being grounded for a whole summer holidays for being a little sh@#. This played constantly. The brass hook and bass infectious.
