Describe your style in three words?
All the things.
The first track you played on repeat?
Billie Piper - Because We Want To
Through my pink walkman plugged into the ears of four year old me, obviously accompanied by full bedroom dance routines pretending to be Billie.
A song from your favorite album?
The Breeders - Hag
I love everything Kim Deal does and Last Splash is one of my forever favourite albums. It's a bit angry, but also quite slinky - my favourite combination.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Patti Smith - Land: Horses / Land of a Thousand Dances / La Mer(de)
I used to live in Perth, Australia and most tours tend to skip the lonely western city, so when the Patti tour was announced I took a four hour flight to Melbourne to see the show. It was everything and more, seeing her play with such raw energy and passion, I’ll never forget it.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
INXS - Need You Tonight
Play this and I'm there.
A new song you're listening to?
Nilüfer Yanya - Paralysed
Everything about this album is so great and such an impressive debut. Paralysed is a real stand out track for me, I really love the dirty guitars.
Best song to turn up loud?
Pulp - Babies
My go-to karaoke song and I recommend turning it up very loud to drown out my extremely questionable Jarvis Cocker impression.
A song that defines the teenage you?
The Strokes - Is This It
The Strokes were everything to me as a teenager, and the first band I really delved into and devoured all of their work. 'Is This It' is one of my favourite openers from any album ever.
An anthemic song?
Slowdive - When The Sun Hits
Every Slowdive song transports me to another world which I just want to sit in and soak up.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
The Brian Jonestown Massacre - Anenome
One of my most played tracks ever, I like to play it at night to fall asleep to. I'm not known for all nighters because I like my bed a lot, but I reckon I could get everyone to chill really nicely with this one.
