Describe your style in three words?
Grandad but fly.
The first track you played on repeat?
Travie McCoy - Billionaire (feat. Bruno Mars)
I had just been bought my first iPod and I remember having this on repeat all the time - this song was MASSIVE!!! Pretty sure I still know all the words...
A song from your favorite album?
Frank Ocean - Super Rich Kids
I was 12 when this album came out, and it was the first time I'd heard anything like it. It blew me away. My mom bought the cd and we played it in the car every morning on the way to school. This is one of my favourite songs of all time ngl.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Razorlight - America
Live Earth at Wembley stadium in 2007. One of the earliest memories I have of going to a live show. I remember being obsessed with this song when I first heard it - it's such a classic. It has a super catchy hook!
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
Jamiroquai - Virtual Insanity - Remastered
Again, another song I grew up listening to - probably because my mom used to play it. The groove makes it impossible to not wanna dance to! Oh, and the music video - INSANE.
A new song you're listening to?
The Internet - You Dont Even Know (feat. Tay Walker)
This song isn't at all new but it's new to me. The Internet are one of my favourite groups - I can't believe I hadn't heard this song until recently. It's from their 2013 album 'Feel Good'. I've been listening to that album a lot recently.
Best song to turn up loud?
Tyler, The Creator - 2SEATER (feat. Aaron Shaw, Samantha Nelson & Austin Feinstein)
AHHHH this song! Love blasting this through my speakers in the car or in my bedroom. It's basically two songs in one (if not more!). There's so much going on it's crazy - but in the most perfect way possible!!!
A song that defines the teenage you?
Dizzee Rascal - Bonkers
Sums up my childhood and teenage years pretty perfectly. I could have chosen this song for so many different reasons - there was seldom a house party where this song wasn't blasted through the speakers multiple times.
An anthemic song?
The Beatles - Hey Jude - Remastered 2015
I chose this song because it's a go-to karaoke anthem with my mates ahaha. Last time I heard this song was in a karaoke bar in Paris with 6 friends as we belted it out in a typically British manner as the Parisians watched on in dismay... had to be done.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Mac Miller - Come Back to Earth
It's 4am, this song comes on - a welcomed respite from the pulsing beats and heavy bass lines. I'm ready for bed.
