Queen Millz, I’m from Leicester.

What do you do?
I’m a music artist.

Describe your style in three words?
Unique, versatile and vibey.

What’s the best gig you’ve ever been to?


Wireless, because so many amazing artists perform, but was crazy watching Juice WRLD perform before he died.



If you could be on the line up with any two bands in history?
The Streets and 
Bob Marley & The Wailers.

Which subcultures have influenced you?
Grime, Afro swing, R&B and rap because I am heavily influenced and into all of them. Grime was popping when I first started writing and R&B influences my style and fashion as well as my singing.



If you could spend an hour with anyone from history?
Aaliyah because She’s a big inspiration to us young females.

Of all the independent venues you’ve played, which is your favourite?

Music Cafe in Leicester, it’s where my career began. 2 Funky have inspired me to perform and express myself through music since a young kid.
 

Your greatest unsung hero or heroine in music?
Lauryn Hill is slept on in my generation, she is a legend of her time and a big inspiration for female vocalists/rappers to this day.

'Survivor' by Destiny’s Child. I used to sing the words wrong.

A song that defines the teenage you?
I went from 'Wall To Wall' by Chris Brown to 'Baby' by Justin Bieber to 'Mr Myagi' by Chipmunk.

One record you would keep forever?
'Wild Thoughts' by DJ Khaled (ft. Rihanna, BrysonTiller).

A song lyric that has inspired you?
"Circle got smaller everybody can’t go"

From 'Victory Lap' by Nipsey Hussle.

A song you wished you had written?
'God's Plan' by Drake.

Best song to turn up loud?
'Early Morning Trappin' by Trippie Redd (ft. Rich The Kid).

A song people wouldn’t expect you to like?

'Gyal Bruk Out' by Alkaline.

Best song to end an all-nighter?
'Hold Yuh' by Gyptian or for my Leicester lot - 'Sweet Caroline' by Neil Diamond goes off at the end of the night.

Sophie & The Giants - I met Sophie at a writing camp, she is a vibe!
