A Sonny Photo
Describe your style in three words?
Lots of Fred.
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
Elbow - Grounds for Divorce
I was probably about 11/12 when I first heard this song, I remember it quickly earning the crown as the highest play count on my trusty old iPod for the entirety of the iPods life (rip).
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
Radiohead - House Of Cards
Although it is hard to pick a favourite this album is always the first to spring to mind, it changed my life. This is the first track I ever heard from it!
A song from your most memorable gig?
Foals - Heavy Water
The most memorable would be Foals at the Eden project in Cornwall, a really different vibe to any gig I’ve ever been to, the first time ever had the opportunity to just stand back and soak it all in. I came to the conclusion they are one of the best live bands on the planet.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
The Chemical Brothers - Got To Keep On
Was obsessed with this song last year, and I’m still obsessed with it now, I’m dancing just thinking about it. Try and stay still listening to it I dare you.
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
Orlando Weeks - Blood Sugar
Absolutely loving the new stuff I’ve heard from Orlando so far, this song is absolutely beautiful and I’ve had it on repeat, I wish I had a voice like his! Really looking forward to the album.
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
IDLES - Never Fight A Man With A Perm
This needs no explanation... CONCRETE AND LEATHER!!!!!
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
Kasabian - Fire
The first band I fell in love with, Kasabian and this song in particular are the reason learnt guitar to be in a band, I just wanted to be Serge... to be fair I still want to be Serge, who doesn’t?
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
The Stone Roses - I Wanna Be Adored - Remastered
It gave me chills the first time I heard it and it still gives me chills now, the simplicity is what makes it so special, belting out every word when I saw them with thousands of others is a moment I will remember forever.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
A Tribe Called Quest - Electric Relaxation
A good one to slowly ease you out of the night whilst also being a straight up anthem, it’s the perfect cocktail.
