Describe your style in three words?
Pin-up Skin Nightmare.
The first track you played on repeat? And where did you play it?
Green Day - Basket Case
I was about 12 and the fury in the drumming just sent me wild. I vowed to learn. I never did!
A song from your favourite album? And what does this track mean to you?
Johnny Cash - 25 Minutes to Go - Live at Folsom State Prison, Folsom, CA (1st Show) - January 1968
Discovering Johnny Cash opened my whole world up and this album is simply the greatest. The concept, the performance, everything about him is perfection. No one can tell a story like Johnny.
A song from your most memorable gig?
Buzzcocks - Moving Away From The Pulsebeat - 1996 Remastered Version
My dad took me to see Buzzcocks when I was about 13 at some crappy old theatre in town and I'd never heard anything like it. The drums in Pulsebeat remain my favourite of all time.
A song that always gets you up and dancing?
The Piranhas - Getting Beaten Up
My real choice is not on Spotify so this is a stand-in! TOM HARK BY THE PIRANHAS WILL NEVER FAIL TO GET ME DANCING!
A new song you're listening to? Why do you like this artist?
The Chats - Drunk n Disorderly
The Chats need no explanation. These little muppets speak for themselves!
Best song to turn up loud? And why?
The Clash - Janie Jones - Remastered
Can't have a Sunshine playlist without at least one Clash song, come on. FILL HER UP, JACKO!
A song that defines the teenage you? And the memories it evokes?
Arctic Monkeys - A Certain Romance
God, how I loved the Monkeys before Alex went all... you know. Another drum favourite. Just remember being 13, locked in my room, tapping along on my mattress, dreaming of being Mrs Alex Turner.
An anthemic song? Why does it get your pulse racing?
The Stone Roses - I Am the Resurrection - Remastered
Absolute. Epic. No words.
Best song to end an all-nighter?
Talking Heads - Psycho Killer - 2005 Remaster
If I'm on an all-nighter, I'm bound to be with my pal Coley and we can't get through a night without at least one rendition of Psycho Killer.
